IBE DAY

Epilepsy & Society Symposium

The Epilepsy & Society Symposium is taking place on Sunday 13 June as part of the 13th AOEC. It is a full day programme featuring topical issues that affect the day to day lives of those living with epilepsy particularly within the Asian Oceanian region.

This virtual event will cover such matters as how people with epilepsy have been affected by the COVID pandemic, national and international driving laws and compares the daily lives of those living with epilepsy from different countries in the region.

Additionally, IBE’s Golden Light Awards will be bestowed on young people living with epilepsy in the region that have been a shining light and deserve special recognition; these remarkable awardees will also get the chance to share their stories.

Delegates will also be treated to an exclusive review of the Art Exhibition which has been organised by JEA (Japan Epilepsy Association) and CAAE (China Association Against Epilepsy) showcasing beautiful pieces of art submitted by those with an interest in epilepsy.

The online platform allows delegates to interact with the speakers and ask questions; although on this occasion we cannot invite you to join us in a particular country in the region, we hope that the virtual experience allows everyone join this exceptional programme that promises to address what matters most to those living with epilepsy in the region.
