The SOC will review all bursary applications and applicants will be notified of the outcome in due course.
In order to encourage young researchers to participate in the congress, bursaries will be awarded to a limited number of applicants who have submitted an abstract to the congress, which stands out for its scientific quality.
Bursary awards assist awardees with costs in order to attend the congress, which may include registration, travel and accommodation. Bursary awards for the AEC 2019 also include participation in the pre-congress IBRO Course on 21 August.
Applicants for a bursary must complete the Bursary Application Form and send it, together with a clear copy of their passport (for proof of age), by email to email@example.com after submitting an abstract.
Bursary recipients must attend the full congress and are expected to participate in the IBRO Course on 21 August also.
The deadline for receipt of bursary applications is 25 April 2019.
