The 10th Latin American Epilepsy Congress has begun in San José, Costa Rica (29 September). This biennial meeting is a joint collaboration of the International League Against Epilepsy and the International Bureau for Epilepsy. The congress, which is held in association with both ILAE and IBE’s Costa Rican chapters as well as the Mexican ILAE chapter (CAMELICE), promises to be an exciting meeting with international speakers and world experts.
This year the scientific programme offers a diverse range of topics presented in various forms from plenary sessions to discussion sessions and workshops. This meeting will also host the 2nd Latin American workshop on Neurobiology of Epilepsy which features recent scientific and clinical advancements in both basic science and in the epilepsy field. Due to the popularity of the IBE day in previous years, there will be a day dedicated to those living with epilepsy and those who are taking care and supporting people with epilepsy.
If you are attending this event which aims to stimulate research in epilepsy and improve patient care throughout the region of Latin America, remember to join the conversation and share your highlights using #XLACE2018
